Finding Your Perfect Fit
Every Mary Benson piece is designed to be lived in and loved for years to come. Garments are created with ease, movement and timelessness in mind, so they feel as though they have always belonged in your wardrobe.
Our size guides are based on the measurements of the finished garments, not body measurements. Each piece has been measured carefully while laid flat, allowing you to compare the dimensions with a favourite garment you already own and know fits you well.
Our collections are designed in two distinct silhouettes:
Fitted Bodice Styles
Featuring a concealed zip and shaped to sit closer to the body, such as the Elizabeth, Gatsby and Margot.
Relaxed Bodice Styles
Designed without a zip for an effortless, flowing fit, such as the Zelda, Erte and Juliet.
Styles with gathered skirts are intentionally generous in volume and movement. Their fullness is part of the design, allowing the skirt to drape beautifully across our full size range without requiring detailed skirt measurements.
Choosing Your Size
As each Mary Benson garment is made to order, we ask that you take a little time to compare our garment measurements with something you already own before placing your order. This is the most reliable way to choose the correct size.
As each piece is made especially for you, we kindly ask that you take a moment to check your measurements carefully before ordering. Mary creates each garment according to our standard size guide and does not offer bespoke sizing or alterations, so the size selected at checkout will be the size your garment is lovingly made in.
If you're between sizes or would simply like a little guidance, we'd be delighted to help. Please do get in touch before ordering and we'll happily advise you on choosing the size that will feel most comfortable and complimentary for you.
